PSV Partners with Cho Ray Hospital to Enhance Healthcare Quality for Patients and Medical Staff

Petrosetco Vung Tau General Services Joint Stock Company (PSV), a long-established service provider in the oil and gas industry with nearly 30 years of experience, has built a strong reputation in delivering catering services for offshore operations and industrial clients nationwide. In recent years, PSV has continued to expand into medical catering services, notably providing nutritional meals for patients and healthcare staff at leading hospitals such as Viet Duc University Hospital (Hanoi) and Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City).

Since August 2024, PSV has officially become the catering service provider for patients and medical staff at Cho Ray Hospital. This milestone marks PSV’s contribution to the healthcare system at one of the largest and most important hospitals in Vietnam.

Cho Ray Hospital is a national-level tertiary general hospital located in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City. It is a top-tier hospital under the Ministry of Health in Southern Vietnam and serves as a center for medical research, training, and international cooperation. 🔷 Medical Catering – Supporting Treatment and Recovery

PSV understands that hospital meals must go beyond food safety and nutrition—they must be carefully designed according to each medical condition and stage of treatment, playing an essential role in supporting recovery.

During treatment, patients receive dietary plans prescribed collaboratively by doctors, medical staff, and nutrition specialists. Cho Ray Hospital currently offers more than 220 specialized diet plans, tailored to different medical conditions and nutritional needs, contributing to improved treatment outcomes and patient recovery.

Dr. Luu Ngan Tam, Head of the Department of Nutrition at Cho Ray Hospital, emphasized that since 1998, nutrition has been recognized as a critical component of treatment. Patients undergoing nutritional therapy are required to follow hospital-prescribed diets exclusively to ensure treatment effectiveness.

“Beyond clinical value, this approach also reflects social equity—ensuring that all patients, regardless of their background, receive the same standard of care,” she noted.

Nutritional meals must be prepared in strict compliance with standards to ensure both nutritional value and food safety.

In addition to patient meals, PSV also provides nutritional meals for healthcare staff, ensuring:

  • Diverse and well-balanced menus
  • Adequate energy intake for demanding work schedules
  • Strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

Nutritious meals play a vital role in maintaining health and sustaining the energy levels required for medical staff to perform effectively throughout long shifts.
